I recently enjoyed a peaceful two-night stay at this charming hotel while taking some time for myself. The room was impressively spacious and clean, featuring a comfy bed and the added bonus of a little balcony. Breakfast was a delight with a freshly cooked menu, and the friendly staff made the experience even more special. The location was ideal—easy access to shops and restaurants, yet still tranquil. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the quality tea and coffee supplies.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Quaint and spotlessly clean place, lovely view of the bay and the entry. Easy check-in, late check-out, best staff. Extremely pleasant, new-fashioned rooms with air conditioning, a balcony, and a lounge. Good and absolutely perfect location to complimentary Toblerone bars, contemporary style building...

we recently had a wonderful stay at athelstane house. the room was exceptionally clean and the guest house itself had a charming, homely vibe. we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful touches, like complimentary toblerone bars and high-quality coffee and tea options. the staff were professional and attentive, and having a late checkout made our experience even better. however, we did find that it was challenging to get fresh air since some windows wouldn't stay open, but overall, the experience was quite enjoyable.
There was nothing i didn't like. 😊.

The room had a bathtub and the location was great with boutiques and shops close by within walking distance. Rewritten: the room had a bathtub and it was convenient to have boutiques and main shops nearby that were within walking distance.

The location was great, close to restaurants and cafes. The spa bath in the room was a nice touch and the bed was comfortable. the breakfast offered was tasty and included a nice variety of options.
The room was quite small and cramped, making it difficult to move around. The noise level was also high, especially during New Year's Eve, which made it difficult to sleep.

I recently stayed in a charming accommodation that perfectly blends old and new. the location is excellent, near attractions, eateries, and coffee shops. the room was spacious and had lovely decor, including comfortable beds and a large spa bath. the staff provided friendly and helpful service, and the breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from. the room featured air conditioning and heating, and some had opening windows and deck areas.
The sound insulation could use some improvement, as some street/traffic noise and noise from adjacent rooms can be heard at times.

I had a great stay here! The hotel was very clean and had great facilities including a spa in the bathroom. The location was perfect, easy walking distance to nearby gardens, the beach, and restaurants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff were all very welcoming and knowledgeable, providing a full rundown of the hotel and its amenities upon arrival. I enjoyed the complimentary tea selection and sprawling outdoor seating areas.
There was nothing I didn't like.

I absolutely adored the beautiful antique furniture and cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The soft color palette and comfortable furnishings made me feel right at home. It was so lovely to relax in the guest lounge and enjoy a cup of tea surrounded by such elegant decor. The hotel was also very accessible for senior people like myself, with ramps and handrails throughout, making it easy for me to navigate and enjoy my stay.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff in carrying my luggage. The children working there seemed very busy and sometimes it was difficult to find someone to help with my bags.

Our room was beautifully decorated and had reverse cycle heating and cooling, ensuring a comfortable stay. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The location of the hotel was superb, with easy access to the main street, gardens, beach, and marina. The warm welcome we received and detailed information provided about the facilities were greatly appreciated. The T2 brand tea offered in the room was a lovely touch. Additionally, the multiple outdoor seating areas added to the overall charm of the hotel.
